How do you measure health?

"My whole life I’ve hated the number on the scale. I’ve always been heavier than I thought I should be, to be healthy, to be attractive, to be fit, and to be in the optimal range on the BMI scale for my height. The Body Mass Index (BMI) charts the ratio of weight (lbs) over height (in) squared2 and then gives a range of healthy, overweight, and obese. It’s a generalization based on data collected from adult males."
