Coach Marla's "Favorite Things" Holiday Wish List

Holiday time fast approaches.  Below is a list of my top 12 favorite things ranging from must haves to stocking stuffers that can help up your performance at the gym.  To see the full list of gear for all the coaches, see Andrew's wish list here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/36NFDDNTNIMB6

1. Reebok Nano 4.0

These are a great versatile, light and flat shoe offering support.  They help you be ready for anything the coaches throw at you during the workout.  Other great workout shoes include Inov8 and Nano 5.

2.  Reebok Lifter 2.0

I love these lifting shoes.  They screw those heels into the ground yet still leave flexibility in the toes. Plus these shoes aren't just good for lifts. I also use them for rowing, air squats, slam balls, jump rope, wall ball and box jumps.

3. Rocktape Shin Guards

Have issues with the bar rubbing against your shin while deadlifting or bite the dust while attempting a box jump?  These babies will help protect your shins and keep you scar free.

4. Rehband Knee Sleeves

You see these on a ton of athletes out there.  Why?  Because they work.  As an old lady with arthritis in both my knees, I love how they hug and support.  Seriously worth buying one for each knee.

5. Lifting Wrist Wraps

These wrist wraps are great for added support during those push-ups, overhead squat and push press.  Best of all, there are ton of nerdy patterns available on Etsy to find the one that suits you best.

6. Kettlebell Wrist Guards

I don't know about you, but I bruise at the slightest touch.  After a workout involving kettle bell cleans, my wrists are black and blue and tender for days.  These are awesome at protecting tender skin without inhibiting your work.

7. Life As RX Jump Rope

You really need to get a good personal speed rope.  Why?  Everyone's height is different.  Having a rope that is the proper length is vital in minimizing jump rope frustration.  These jump ropes are an expensive initial investment, but what I love about Life as RX is that you can customize colors to your taste, they will cut the rope for you when you order it, and as you improve, you can get thinner or replacement rope for only $10.

8.  Theramed Clay Compression Wrap

Rest and recovery are extremely important after a long workout.  This compression wrap holds in heat for a long time while offering pressure to your sore joints.  Great for helping you get back on your feet faster.  (We use this for our tendonitis.)
